In my years of shooting, I never had to go into the overflow card and it’s usually a waste when I sell the camera(ie. My overflow card is an older Sony 64GB XQD. Although I have the 128GB Delkin black as my main card. Thanks - just realized that looking at Sony's page The readers usually have USB-C (higher speed) both ends and (USB-C to USB-A (lower speed) connectors it should be able to maintain a 1400MB xfr rate. The important spec for high performance which many don't show is the "sustained write". in addition the Sandisk CFexpress cards are lower performance too but usable under non high speed shooting. Just for reference: this is a good crosssection of whats out there depending on your location.Īlso if you are not using the high performance features of the Z9 you XQD cards are more then usable if you have any. Sony does one that read both xqd and cf express type b It seems like the only way I have now is to plug the Z9 into my custom built PC or get this new reader. I only use it to pull files out of the camera in case I drop the camera into the ocean or something happens to the camera. So I’m SOL.Īlso tried to get files out of the Z9 when I was on the road with my 2014 MacBook Pro with the latest software but it didn’t recognize the Z9. Tried to find a firmware update for it but apparently Lexar got bought out by some other company and the older readers are supported. I have a Lexar XQD reader and it isn’t working with my Delkin Black CFe. ![]() Is this reader compatible with CF Express or do I need a new reader ? ![]() I just bought a SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB CFExpress Card for my Z9, but when I pop it into the reader, it isn't showing up on my desktop. I own a Sony XQD/SD Card Reader that I've been using for my Z7 XQD Cards
